Cloud 9 introduces dimensional textiles in sophisticated neutrals

Dallas, Texas–March 7, 2022—Perennials Fabrics and Rugs, the leader in the international design industry and the preeminent provider of luxury performance textiles and accessories, has announced the debut of Nube 9, a new collection ofunique100% solution-dyed acrylic fabric and rug designs for Spring 2022. Intended to conjure new beginnings and clean slates, Cloud 9 is filled with crisp neutrals and understated elegance. Ten new fabric qualities–Sheer Genius, Prism, Knotty, Fresh Angle, Lines in the Sand, Cloudscape, This ‘n That, Top Notch, To the Point, Icebreaker–offer timeless panache. Rounding out this refreshing spring collection are five new rug designs to complement the new fabric designs: Daydreams, Double Date, Brush Work, Strato, and On Deck.

Nube 9 inspires designers to approach spaces with a fresh perspective, just as the Perennials Studio approached Spring 2022. The collection provides a tabula rasa in terms of upholstery and drapery options. Sheer Genius is a new sheer quality featuring a grid pattern made with bouclé yarns, providing feather-light coverage. Ideal for upholstery use, De primera categoría is a small-scale patterned quality with detailed texture and substance. De primera categoría is available in four colorways, including Vapor and White Sands. con nubes is an intriguing atmospheric fabric in three colorways featuring an organic textured design and new hues, Toasted and Latte.

Offering a dose of geometric pattern play, Nube 9 explores crisp sophistication. Prisma features dynamic movement within atonal geometric repeat. Prism is available in two colorways, White Sands and the new classic Snow Day. Bold triangles and diamonds adorn Al punto, a graphic pattern softened by lush chenille yarns. This reversible quality is available in two neutral colorways: Opal and Snow Day. Offered in client-favorites Blanca, Moonstone and White Sands, esto y eso is a graphic herringbone pattern in lush textures that create handsome dimensionality. Ángulo fresco shows a fresh take on stripes with bold diagonal stripes softened by chenille yarns that elegantly contrast with a gently textured background. The reversible fabric is available in three colorways, Blanca, Sandstone and Opal.

Taking cues from nature, Nube 9 también presenta Nudoso, an abstract quality evocative of faux bois in soothing colorways like Vapor and White Sands. Perfect for the coolest of clients, Icebreaker features a small-scale textural crackle pattern while maintaining an exceptionally soft hand. Rompehielos is debuting in Polar and White Sands. On the sunnier side of the spectrum, Líneas en la arena is a chenille upholstery-weight quality that mimics an aged silk texture.

Nube 9 offers an array of “go anywhere” rug designs with subtle pattern and beautiful color blending. Cita doble is a Tibetan knot rug featuring bold overlapping shapes blended to mimic translucence. Debuting in Opal, Double Date’s lush pile lends a heavenly feeling underfoot. Another Tibetan knot design, Trabajo del cepillo is inspired by a painter’s test palette with organic pattern. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use, Strato is a flatwoven rug with a bold tonal square pattern. On Deck is an exciting flatwoven design constructed by integrating Perennials Rope through the warp, bringing depth to any space. Daydreams is a drop stitch rug oozing with tranquility and beautifully handknotted by Perennials’ artisan weavers, combining ancient techniques with innovative SDA technology.

Woven from fine 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarn, Perennials’ fade-, mildew-and UV-resistant fabrics and rugs are able to stand up to life’s everyday adventures without sacrificing great design, making them uniquely suited to fit beautifully with any indoor or outdoor aesthetic.
