Perennials Rugs® Presents Expanded Porter Teleo Collection

New Perennials by Porter Teleo rugs combine sophistication and durability

Dallas, Texas – May 14, 2018 — Perennials Rugs®, a leader in the international design industry and the preeminent provider of luxury performance textiles and accessories, has announced new patterns within the Perennials by Porter Teleo collection. In addition to the original seven designs introduced in 2016, the collection of handwoven Tibetan Knot performance rugs grows to include: En Plein Air, Mathematical Rain, Labrinthe, and Elements. Perennials by Porter Teleo combines the durability of 100% solution-dyed acrylic yarns with the elevated graceful aesthetic of Porter Teleo.

Porter Teleo founders Kelly Porter and Bridgett Cochran are delighted to launch their second collection of luxury performance rugs with Perennials. Translating their hand-painted and block-printed works of art into 100% solution-dyed acrylic rugs, the four new Porter Teleo designs complement contemporary styles and chaotic lifestyles. En Plein Air is a fluid floral pattern with an asymmetrical beauty that echoes that of the natural world. Following this organic inspiration, the Elements artwork was born by layering dabs of paint, reminiscent of natural patterns such as cloud formations or an animal prints. The result is a soft tactile rug design suitable for spaces both indoor and out.

Referencing unique inspiration for the Mathematical Rain style, Porter explains, “We created this pattern from drawing each and every mark while listening to the rhythm of a Chopin composition.” In essence, the design represents soothing repetitive music that bleeds into a calming rug and surrounding living space. The Labrinthe pattern also offers a focused and clean composition through a perfectly balanced arrangement of positive and negative space, resulting in an abstract work of art underfoot.
