Spill Spotlight: Paintbox Fabric
Debuting in 2016, Perennials by Porter Teleo introduced six fabric qualities and seven Tibetan knot rug designs. The collection was designed by Kelly Porter and Bridgett Cochran, who founded Kansas City-based wallpaper company Porter Teleo. One of the collection’s beloved qualities is Paintbox, a design featuring a lively graphic pattern. The resulting design is reminiscent of a well-loved painting kit with organic box shapes. Pairing color with color, Fuller Interiors created a wow moment with a small space. The designer made a banquette using Paintbox in Blueberry alongside Pierre Frey’s famous Arty wallpaper. The result? Not your mother’s boring laundry room.
Say goodbye to the days of stuffy lounge chairs. Leslie Dunn chose to upholster this lounge chair in Paintbox in Wasabi, resulting in a study with a punch of color. “We chose this durable indoor/outdoor fabric for its fun color pop and pattern in a family study,” says Dunn. “Turns out the family dog has claimed this chair as his own!”
Jeannie Hickey decided to up the charm factor when designing counter stools for this family home. “This space is for a busy family of six. The basement needed to be a place that was appropriate for children and sophisticated enough to entertain adults,” explains Hickey, JMH Designs. “I chose Perennials fabric for both the barstools and sectional because It is extremely durable and worry-free – but also looks amazing. My client loves color and I wanted to inject a little fun and pattern into the space with the counter stools. It came together beautifully.”

Ellen Hanson Designs injected a pop of pattern into this sophisticated neutral outdoor design by incorporating Paintbox throw pillows.
Paintbox in Big Sky adorns these luxe sunbeds on Istros, a recently renovated 42m superyacht. By pairing pattern with a classic navy, the design remains stunningly sophisticated.
